2nd time lupa password…SECOND time…ish…signs of aging.
first day of my 3 week break…and I still had to VPN and layan some work thingies…darn it. not much of a break is it?
on top of it all…rushing to submit off an assignment by this week. keeping my fingers crossed that I manage to finish it up on time. while i’m supposed to be working on it rite now…i’m obviously not…since i’ve got time to go re-set my password and all….!!!
that’s my que to get back to it. I need focus!! So lacking it at the moment…

omg la…it’s been a month and no update? this ain’t good. why is it that i have so much to write…and so little time to actually sit down and do it 
i wanna write about HK….about our recent Melaka trip….about the latest Michael Chrichton book i read….argh!! i think even if i had 30 hours in a day…it probably wouldn’t be enough.

I finally got Twitter! I know, a bit slow in the techie world, but hey…at least i’m on it now.
OMG!!! I’m so excited. Will Smith added me!! This is beyond awesome!!

It’s freezing cold here! Am at Genting’s with me buddies, although some of them have left already. Had some hot chocolate earlier. Now trying out their green tea drink. Errrmmm…okay la. Tastes like a health drink though. Hahahah.
Countdown to Pre-Marathon…5 days to go!
May 19th
Things are finally falling into place, the caps will be delivered tomorrow, the mineral water on Thursday, the booths selling items confirmed, the banner had to be re-sized, but that’s sorted out too.
Phew! Recently all I can think of is the Pre-Marathon and nothing else. And to date, Daniel and I have had like 3, 281 arguments/fights/debates over this event. Lolz…nothing new I guess. We argue over everything under the sun anyways. But we’ve made a deal, NOT to argue on 24th of May. Let’s hope the deal stays! Though if that actually happened, i’d bet pigs could fly. 
Guess the event organizers needed a break, decided to come to Hairworx at Kuchai Lama to get a hair wash. Very relaxing indeed, and more so for the dude who come here for his personal massage. *glances at Dan* Lolz.
Countdown to Pre-Marathon…6 days to go!
May 18th
It’s 6 days to go for the GSSC KL Pre-Marathon, and there are still so many things pending! Argh!!
There’s the banner, a couple more broadcasts, the t-shirt sorting, the marshal briefing, the merchandise distribution, the canopies, etc, etc, etc.
Am keeping my fingers crossed that we manage to settle them all by mid of this week. And from a targeted participation of 200 runners, we’re not 600 runners! So you can imagine why Daniel and I are getting more & more hectic as the final countdown begins!
Wish us luck people, hope it all goes according to plan. And if not, hey, at least we gave it our best shot…
Movie Nite ~ Angels & Demons
May 16th
We’re going for a movie tonight. Been sometime the whole bunch of us haven’t gone for a movie together-gether. Most of the time nowadays, we just end up catching the latest movies at Dan’s place. His new sofa is amazinglyyy comfortable. It comes with a warning though, no one can last on it for longer than 15 minutes without dozing off!! Super comfy.
It’s Angels & Demons tonite people, hope the movie lives up to the expectations of the book. I was just reading Dan Brown’s other 2 books again, Deception Point & Digital Fortress, and I must say, regardless of whether what he claims the NSA & NRA do in the US, he’s a darn good author.
So let’s wait and see for the verdict of this much-anticipated movie.

Earth Hour & What’s It All About

Now before you jump onto the bandwagon and decide to switch off your lights from 8.30pm to 9.30pm tonight (which you should by the way), at least understand why you’re doing it and not just be another blind mice in the darkness (literally!)
When: It is now planned as a yearly affair, held on the last Saturday of March. It first begin in the Land Down Under in ’07
Who: WWF (and if you think this stands for World Wrestling Federation, then you have a serious issue, go read up more you brainless twit!) is the main organizer. But every single person on this planet can play a part, unless of course you live in the Sahara desert and don’t even have access to electricity to begin with, but you get my point.
How: TURN OFF ALL NON-ESSENTIAL LIGHTING. Yes, it is as easy as that.
Why: AHA! Now this is the biggest question of all, why should you even do it in the first place?? Firstly, reducing the usage of electricity on a mass scale produces a reduction of carbon emissions, which is one of the causes of global warming.
But then again, how much of carbon reduction can one hour produce, even if there was global support? WWF claims that as much as Earth Hour is supposed to help the Earth, it is more of a symbolic event, and that the bigger agenda is actually to raise awareness about the global environmental issues that the planet Earth and it’s inhabitants are facing.
In short, support the initiative of WWF, switch off all non-essential lighting from 8.30pm to 9.30pm tonight, but take more of an effort to surf the web and understand global warming issues. What else can you do to help the cause. How can you make a difference for this planet, that has kept you alive all these gazillion years.
Don’t let it just be one hour of your life, with no change in your mindset or your way life. Make a difference. Happy Earth Hour!

Will we ever be serious?

Hardly a day has passed since some of the Cantoy Gang started their holidays, that the wise-cracks, wrongly mentioned statements, and kantoi jokes are already all over the place.
But never fear, for the Cantoy Gang Communications Channel is here. Of course, as the stories get told from one member of the group to another, somebody along the way is bound to add some extra dash of spices here & there.
So this is my one & only disclaimer: I bear no responsibility in ensuring the ‘truthfulness’ of the jokes….muah ha ha ha *evil laughter*
2 nights ago at Dan’s place before the start of the Pok-Deng game:
DK to R – “Come sit in front of me, I can massage you better”
Next thing DK knows, R has plopped herself right onto his laps!! Enough said, I think you can imagine the scenario after that.
Last night at AG mamak with Dan & Louise:
Dan: “Pls okay B, you think you’re like this sambal izzit? So hot?”
Great…now we’re never gonna comment that some random girl looks hot, from now on it’ll be –> she looks so sambal!
At the petrol station:
L: “I’m so sexy!!”
D gives a super puzzled look. L can’t stop laughing, coz she actually wanted to say “I’m so sexcited”
At yet another petrol station:
D passes some cash to L and says, “Pls take this and buy me some money”
He actually wanted some red bull, how that got termed as money….go figure.
After lunch today, in the car with DK & KJ:
As usual, they were arguing who R belongs to, and who L belongs to, when out of nowhere KJ goes “You have 2 d*** izzit??!!” My goodness, couldn’t stop laughing! Coz KJ normally says – “How many girls you want?!”
And yet another random joke:
Okay, I can’t go into explicit details here, as it would then be termed as vulgar, but suffice to say, it belongs to a certain part of the female anatomy. Over lunch a couple of days back, the guys termed it as flapper or flipper or clapper or some dodgy sounding term.
And to whom did they bestow such honour? Who else…non-other but yours truly. Sighhhh, the names I have to put up with sometimes *rolls eyes dramatically*.
(And whoever out there that did not get the sarcasm in the sentence above, I highly recommend watching the House series. Do a back-to-back episode marathon, and you shall be a highly enlightened sarcastic soul by the end of it)
